HEC-TV Live Broadcast

On Thursday night September 20, 2010 I got to be a part of the State of the Arts Live and Uncut televised on HEC-TV.  It was a great kickoff to the American Arts Experience of St. Louis, MO.  There was a great line up of musicians from all styles of music.  Jazz, classical, blues, ragtime, rock-a-billie, stride, and folk were all represented.  I got to be the representative for the folk section.  It was a fun experience to see how a live TV broadcast comes together.  Talk about staying on schedule, everything ran like clockwork.  I have checked the HEC-TV website and as of yet the broadcast is not available.  I have not gotten to see it yet.  I am sure it will be fun to watch after being there for the making.  I will post a notice when it is available.

Cabin Fever at the Sheldon Theater

The photographer took some great pictures.  Click on the read more button below to find the link to see them.  Wow what a great time we had.  Judging from the comments that we heard so far, it sounds like you the audience had a great time too.  The Sheldon is the perfect place to hear our style of music, perfect size, intimate feeling and great acoustics.  Put that together with a fun audience and you could only get a wonderful night of entertainment.  I would love to hear what you have to say about the performance in our comments section.  Please send them in so that others can see what they missed.  We will be at the Sheldon again on Tuesday August 17, 2010.  I hope to see you all there again and please bring some friends with you.

Car Show Fun

On Easter Sunday I entered my truck into the St. Louis Forest Park Easter Car Show.  Since my truck is a 1935 Ford Panel Truck it was entered into the Hot Rod Trucks 1948 and Earlier division.  I met a lot of people and had many inquire about the dulcimer.    It was a good day and got even better when I found out that my truck won Top Three in its class.  The voting is done by all who are entered.  The sun was hot and I got a sunburn.
